Note to President Obama – our war dead are not props for your fucking photo-ops.

Can you imagine the outcry if Bush would have done this?  We hear endlessly about “mission accomplished” and fake turkeys that were, in fact, real – those photo-ops were horrible crimes worthy of denouncement.  But Obama brings his paparazzi with him to photograph him giving his best “military” salute with a soldier’s coffin as the prop – and the silence will be deafening.

This man is small, weak, and so self-absorbed that it is scary.  Does he even get the fact that these young men and women are dying while he sits in his office, sampling public opinion polls to see what decision he should make of Afstan.  Never mind – it’s a rhetorical question.  At a time when we need strong leadership, we instead have a PotUS that is a caricature of vanity and banality.

So, what does it say about Nationalized health care when it chooses to spend taxpayer money to help its own employees receive treatment at private facilities?

THE National Health Service has spent £1.5m paying for hundreds of its staff to have private health treatment so they can leapfrog their own waiting lists.

More than 3,000 staff, including doctors and nurses, have gone private at the taxpayers’ expense in the past three years because the queues at the clinics and hospitals where they work are too long.

Figures released under the Freedom of Information act show that NHS administrative staff, paramedics and ambulance drivers have also been given free private healthcare. This has covered physiotherapy, osteopathy, psychiatric care and counselling — all widely available on the NHS.

So, if you have an “in” with the NHS, you can leapfrog the waiting lists and get private health care sooner.  If you’re just some poor schmoe on the street – well, too bad – you have to wait in line until your turn comes – or until you die.  Whichever comes first.  Dying is, of course, preferable, since it helps the queue move along faster AND saves valuable NHS dollars – dollars that can then be used to help NHS staff get free health care at private clinics.

Crazy far-left birther-blogger* Charles Johnson continues in his efforts to smear Rush Limbaugh, doubling down with his “fake but accurate” defense. Dan rather must be so proud – and a little bewildered by why CJ sees this as an acceptable defense for the Limbaugh quotes after busting his balls for using it in the Bush TANG document forgeries.

Johnson’s nasty attacks on all of his “enemies” smell of either outright hatred or rank desperation.  Either he needs to generate hits badly, so he chooses topics that he knows will draw angry eyes to his site.  Or, as evidenced by his attacks on HotAir – that break-up was far nastier than we outsiders know, and Johnson is revenging like a jilted lover.

Funniest is – one of his sycophants posted racist comments in a HotAir thread – to “prove”, of course, that it’s a racist website.  When the comments weren’t immediately removed – well, you know, that just shows that it’s a racist site.  And stuff.  Wee King Charlie distanced himself from Kilgore’s on-line antics (gotta maintain plausible deniablity, don’t ya know), but opined that, even though HE wouldn’t have done it – it certainly proved what an awful site HotAir is.  And now he has a “daily” feature where he points out the most hateful and egregious examples of…something…from the HotAir comments threads – how pathetic is that?

Even more pathetic – instead of actually offering any new content – it’s become the 24 hour a day “pity party” – where he looks for on-line insults, real and perceived, and tries to muster sympathy from his 0n-line community of like minded travelers – sympathy that of course flows forth like sweet, sweet mother’s milk.  Primarily because anyone that disagrees with Charles (or even downclicks one of his posts) is banned.  So Wee King Charlie has created an on-line community of people who agree with him – or else.

It’s a sad state of affairs for a blogger that a lot of us admired and respected for his work in Rathergate and the fauxtography scandals.

*Don’t believe CJ’s a birther?  Then why else would he blog this?

“Is Obama a Citizen of the US?  Why won’t Barack Obama release his birth certificate?”

Remember – in the game of LGF  cherry pick and condemn by association – all that matters is that it can be attributed to Charles Johnson – not whether there is any context, or even any words or thoughts that contribute to your understanding of the statement.  The ability to positively attribute the words is more of a courtesy than he gives to others.  And as for those racist comments posted by Killgore Trout – well, in a couple of years we should be able to use those as concrete evidence of his racism, since we can again attribute those words directly to him.  Words and tactics that Charles Johnson endorsed – so draw your own conclusions – *wink wink nudge nudge*.  See how the game is played?

Please, Obama

“Protect us from Cheerios”.

Finally, breakfast is safe again.  I just wish the administration was as concerned about the falsehoods contained in it’s health care reform as it is about a box of cereal.

The Texans win, of course.

How often do you get to read the words “extremely pissed off” in a news story – even for a little local paper?  Be sure and read the entire article – it’s quite funny – especially the “beer making you bullet proof” part.

Don’t take your science advice from a washed up Jazz musician.

There’s a LOT of basic science saying that CO2 is not the problem it is being painted to be by AGW alarmists.  Even more encouraging, some of the intellectual dishonesty and outright fraud used to forward the AGW cause is starting to come to light.  The demolishing of the “hockey stick graph” – revealing it to be a selected, cherry picked dataset with one purpose – to prove the author’s pre-conceived ideas about the effects of man-made CO2 on global temperatures.

Johnson makes declarative statements all of the time – even about things he obviously knows nothing about.  This is one of those things.  Funny that he so vehemently attacks creationists for beleiving non-science, and then jumps aboard the closest thing to a secular religious cult we currently have – the cult of AGW.
